About SAGE math: The SAGE math program is more acceleration based with enrichment activities that enhance student understanding of concepts. My goal is to concentrate on computation mastery in all areas while working at least one grade level ahead in skills. It is critical to have comprehension of the "basic skills" of math before tackling more difficult concepts. We need a solid grasp of the rock wall before climbing higher! WAYS to SUCCEED Please encourage your child to come to class prepared: neatly completed homework show work math book agenda positive/negative card 5th/6th ready to learn and allow others to learn ABSENCES Any homework or quiz that was assigned prior to a one-day absence is due or will be given upon their return. Any work for absences covering more than one day, will be given the same number of days for make up. If you know your child will be absent, please send a note.
